Cheryl Ann Kennedy, aged 75, passed away on May 15, 2023, in Mineola, TX. She was born on August 31, 1947, in Waco, TX, to William Collier Kennedy and Hazel Scott Kennedy. Cheryl is survived by her sons: Jason Scott Moody of Cedar Park, TX; Adam Kyle Moody of San Antonio, TX; Christopher Alan Moody of Avon, CT; and Zachary Tyler Moody of Longview, TX. She also leaves behind her brother, Thomas Kennedy of Houston, and sister-in-law, Janet Kennedy.


Cheryl grew up in Dallas and later moved to Mineola, TX, where she attended high school. She was an energetic and fun member of the Mineola High School Class of '65. After completing her undergraduate degree at the prestigious University of Texas in Austin, Cheryl embarked on a new chapter as a mother to four boys.


Driven by her passion for psychology, Cheryl pursued a master's degree at the University of North Texas. During the mid-1990s, she embraced a life in the bustling metropolis of New York City while attending classes at the New School. Cheryl's adventurous spirit led her to explore the city's cultural landmarks and enjoy leisurely strolls through Central Park, prioritizing the rich tapestry of life that New York City had to offer.


After returning to Texas, armed with her qualifications, Cheryl built a career providing guidance and support to clients in Dallas. Her quick wit endeared her to a select group of dear friends, with whom she engaged in lively conversations, exchanged anecdotes, and shared laughter.


In addition to her professional and social circles, Cheryl was an avid reader with an insatiable thirst for learning. She delighted in attending literary events, providing online book reviews and participating in thought-provoking book clubs, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of countless works of non-fiction. She cherished her vast book collection.
